Cobi Lechem is a Canadian who attended Queen’s University for an undergraduate degree from 2007 to 2011, according to his LinkedIn profile. After graduating, he worked as a parliamentary advisor to then-MP Irwin Cotler from August 2011 to July 2012.
Following this, Lechem joined the Israeli military, where he served as a “Corporal” in the “Foreign Relations Branch” from December 2012 to June 2014, according to his LinkedIn.
Upon returning to Canada, Lechem completed a law degree at Western University from 2014 to 2017. Since then, he has worked in a range of positions with the Ontario government, including as a “Policy Advisor” for the “Minister of the Environment” from September 2018 to July 2019 and a “Senior Policy Advisor” for the “Minister of Finance” from July 2019 to February 2021.
Lechem has worked for the government-run “OCS Ontario Cannabis Store” since February 2021 including as “Director, Corporate Affairs, Policy and Business Support,” and currently as the “Chief of Staff.”
