Noam Gilead served as a “communication officer of a first-line paratrooper’s battalion” in the Israeli military from March 2003 to March 2004, according to his LinkedIn profile. He states that he had “responsibility for all operational communication and computation tasks of the battalion” and “direct command of 10 technically skilled soldiers.”
Gilead attended the University of British Columbia (UBC) for a bachelor of commerce from 2008 to 2012, and served as “President of the Israel Awareness Club – a non-denominational group dedicated to engaging in debate, discussion and dialogue on Israeli society, culture and politics.” He was quoted in a 2009 Jewish Independent article about a vigil for Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit: “‘All of Israel is responsible for each other and it is our obligation to bring our sons home,’ said Gilead, himself an IDF veteran.”
Upon graduating from UBC, Gilead began working at J.P. Morgan in the United States. He is now “Executive Director Investment Banking” at the company, according to LinkedIn.
