Zev Wiesenthal is a Canadian from Hamilton, Ont. He graduated from Hamilton Hebrew Academy, an elementary school, in 2013, according to a Facebook post from the school congratulating graduates for immigrating to Israel and “living the dream!” Wiesenthal then attended Yeshivat Or Chaim, one of the Bnei Akiva private Jewish high schools in Toronto, and graduated in 2017.
Wiesenthal has identified himself as a former Israeli military soldier and reservist on Twitter. Wiesenthal’s sister, Tali Wiesenthal, has also posted a photo of Zev in Israeli military uniform on her Instagram page.
