RAN ANKORY

Ran Ankory is a doctor in Ontario, working in Toronto. His profile on the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario website notes that he graduated from the The Hebrew University-Hadassah Medical School in 2006 and has been in an ongoing medical fellowship at the University of Toronto since 2023.

An April 2024 post on the American Healthcare Professionals and Friends for Medicine in Israel (AHPFM) website states that Ankory is associated with the IDF Medical Corps in Israel and St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto. His bio on the page states, “As a Lieutenant Colonel in the IDF, Dr. Ankory has served in two distinct roles over the past several years. Since completing his residency in 2018, he has been working as a spine surgeon at Tel Aviv Medical Center. At the same time, Ran has been in leadership roles within the Israel military medical corps, including as a Division Medical Officer and as the Head of the IDF Public Health Branch. After completing his clinical fellowship in spine surgery, he hopes to use his expertise to establish a holistic practice treating chronic back pain.”

The AHPFM website states that it is an “organization of U.S. and Canadian healthcare professionals dedicated to ensuring Israel’s emergency preparedness and enabling Israeli healthcare providers to train in cutting-edge medicine in the U.S. before taking leadership positions in Israeli medical institutions.”

Ankory is also mentioned in a June 2025 message from the co-directors of the spine program at the University of Toronto where he is described as a graduate of the Citywide Spine Fellowship program.
