Zack Fox is a Canadian from Toronto who went to Yeshivat Or Chaim, one of the Bnei Akiva private Jewish schools in Toronto, for high school, according to his Facebook and LinkedIn.
After graduating from high school, Fox immigrated to Israel, which was noted in a Bnei Akiva magazine issue. His LinkedIn profile notes that he served as a “staff sergeant” from January 2019 to August 2020, and that he: “Displayed leadership in accomplishing assignments and learning new skills; Trained extensively on weaponry, tactics, and methods of battle; Cultivated excellent work ethic, dedication to duty and timeliness in all work action.”
A Facebook post from Diller Teen Fellows, a Jewish youth organization, noted that Fox and Shalhevet Gobrin, a counsellor he had during the fellowship who is also included in this database, both ended up serving in the Israeli military at the same time. The post stated, “Shalhevet Gobrin was Zack Fox’s Junior Counselor when he was in Diller Toronto Cohort 3. After finishing high school, both decided to make Aliya and serve in the IDF. Two days ago, they both were pleasantly surprised: While Zack was in artillery training, Shalhevet had come as an artillery instructor on reserve duty. And because how could she not be – she was assigned as his instructor! Definitely an exciting reunion! We wish you both a lot of success in the future and are very proud of you!”
Fox now works as an account manager at a software company in Israel, according to his LinkedIn.
