AVIAD NESHER

Aviad Nesher, 22-23, was born in Israel, lived in Canada for the first few years of his life and then returned to Israel with his mother in 2009.

In August 2021, Nesher’s mother posted a collection of photos and videos of him on Facebook with the caption, “So proud of my son avi-ad who graduated as a combat medic in the IDF today!” The images show him in Israeli uniform at a ceremony.

She posted several photos of him on Instagram in Israeli military uniform over the next couple of years, with captions such as, “You rock guys! Thank you for having the courage to make aliyah & to defend our nation of Israel”

Nesher’s LinkedIn states that he was in the Israeli military from March 2021 to September 2022 as a combat medic. It describes his experience: “-Selected for the special forces reconnaissance unit of the Nahal brigade and successfully completing year long combat training. -Joining the unit’s medical teams providing critical combat care and overseeing patients with the unit’s doctor and paramedics. -Becoming platoon medic and overseeing 120 combat soldiers during their training while providing medical care and support in coordination with the units doctor.”

Nesher was featured in a November 2023 episode of a financial podcast, with the description of the episode stating, “We are interviewing Aviad Nesher from Israel who served in the special forces of the Israeli Army prior to the current war. Avi tells us what the tunnels are like as a soldier and what the current soldiers are dealing with.”
