Klarsfeld states: “The last time we visited, I came in a spanking-white navy uniform – I was doing military service – and we were afraid he’d have a heart attack from the excitement. You know, the State of Israel and all that.”
Discussing the most-recent trip in the article, Klarsfeld states: “It was incredible fun. The connection with my cousins is a bit odd. We grew up in two different countries, and the idea of being drafted and serving in the army is weird for them, but as people, we get along just fine.”
