SARAH GARAME

Sarah Garame is a Canadian who attended the Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology from 2012 to 2014, according to her LinkedIn profile. 

After completing this degree, Garame moved to Israel, and served in the Israeli military from November 2015 to November 2017. Her LinkedIn profile states that she was in the “Battalion commanders’ personal command squad,” and describes her experience: “Combat soldier, specializing in search and rescue and chemical warfare. Trained in telecommunications, in charge of relaying messages between all companies, officers, and relevant bases during missions and emergency situations.”

Garame’s Instagram profile, which is under the name Sarah Elbaz (her maiden name), contains several photos of her in Israeli military uniform.

A December 2016 post contains a photo of Garame and another person holding guns and standing in front of a military vehicle with barbed wire in the back. The caption states: “When your boyfriend visits you on base 😍.”

A September 2017 post with a photo of Garame and another person in Israeli military uniform states: “Spending the new year in the army isn’t so bad when you got your bestie by your side! Wishing everyone the sweetest new year full of love, happiness laughter and success.” The photo is tagged as being in Hizma, which is in the occupied West Bank.

Garame remained in Israel after her military service. Her LinkedIn profile bio section states: “Highly motivated and passionate about making the world a greener place. I have a bachelor’s in Sustainability and Government and a Master’s in Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energies. I currently work as a Green Building Consultant with Alfa Sustainable Projects, where I get to collaborate with an amazing team to create eco-friendly, socially responsible, and financially smart building solutions.”
